FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Takes place on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Approx. 500 meals
are issued per week.

A pilot for a bakery has also started, and in any case, baking is done once a month

CHILDREN/YOUTH


More than 30 children and young people come to the Karibu Centre every day
and are supervised in the afternoon after school. For school children, the

Focus on children and adults. 

The school fees are a challenge for the families with more children.

COUNSELLING

As a result of the war(s), people have been traumatised. In groups or single sessions the opportunity is given to verbalise and come to terms with past (situation) experiences.

INFRASTRUCTUR

A group of local people are improving the streets, planting to avoid erosin and concerned with conversation as well as waste management.

BIBLE COURSES

We aim to help church leadres and preachers. Basic theological priciples are revised and various perceptions discussed.

TRADITIONS

 Nuturing the traditional way of building and promoting the knowledge of the flora and fauna of ethnic groups plays an essential part.

Emphasis is being made on the compatability of local customs and the christian faith.

MENTORING

Employers take on an "apprentice" who can thereby learn a trade. The youngsters gain a new perspective and the employers support.
